 Happy Spring everyone! Lots of things are happening at Big Dipper. We have a new product called the "Growler" It's an 87 oz. tub that is pre-packed with ice cream. In stock is Vanilla, Vanilla Bean, Chocolate, Huckleberry and White Mint Oreo. These are going for $12 and are perfect to take to a party or to just keep in your freezer so you don't run out of ice cream.
We also have pre-packed Quarts of ice cream as well with the same flavors.
Last month we were able to raise $500 for Families First in Missoula. In conjunction with Bernice's Bakery's 30th Anniversary we teamed up and made 3 great flavors. We had Apple Pie, Cherry Cream Cheese Chocolate Cake and Coffee Ice Cream with Mocha Chip Pound Cake. I probably shouldn't be telling you now since the flavors are gone. However, this month we will be making some flavors with Lori Grannis of the Missoulian. I know one flavor for sure will be her famous New York Cheesecake. Stay tuned for the rest. These flavors will roll out the last week of the month. I'll try and keep you informed ahead of time of future "Specials Week".
Lastly we got some nice press last week from local food celebrity Greg Patent. He did an article on myself and Big Dipper for his monthly food column.  Finally another update! This week we are featuring 3 incredible ice cream flavors from Jason at Posh Chocolat. The flavors are a Strawberry and 10 year aged balsamic ice cream, Saffron ice cream and a Garam Masala ice cream. These flavors all have chunks of South American single source 70% dark chocolate. Come down and try these if you get the chance. Next month Bernice's Bakery will be creating flavors in collaboration with their 30th Anniversary fundraising effort. All the profits from these flavors will go towards a chosen charity. Well check back soon for more info on this and other upcoming events at Big Dipper. - December 06, 2007 -
 Happy Holidays everyone! Come in for some Candy Cane ice cream or Egg Nog ice cream. We're still open daily but will close from December 20th through January 3rd for a little break.

 Thanksgiving is coming and we will have some great specials coming next week. The featured flavors will be a Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream as well as a Cranberry Orange Sorbet and a Sweet Potato Ice Cream complete with marshmallow, caramel and brown sugar! Stop in and pick up some to bring to your big holiday meal. Despite the cooler temperatures, we are still staying busy and creating a lot of other great new ice creams. Just the other day we made a coconut brittle ice cream which turned out great. In odd flavors, we made a lobster sorbet for the Blue Canyon. They will be featuring this sorbet in a lobster tasting coming up soon. You can also still get the bacon ice cream down the street at 515. That's all for now.
